Hey, i'm plasying around with this excellent program before I start some proper encoding.

What percentage compressibility am I looking to attain.

My tests have been on Cruel Intentions which seems to be very compressable.

Originally I did a test with bits/pixel*frame of around 0.250 and it returns around 130%.

I did another test with reduced audio and a 700MB final file size and this returned a figure of 70% and a approx bits/pixel*frame of 0.170.

What figure am i looking for?

Thanks

AutoRV9 compressibility testing has not been tuned a great deal, and since the QP values in RV9 can go much lower (create higher bitrates) than MPEG-4, the "100% reference" was somewhat randomly chosen. In this case though it seems to give an OK indication, since 0.17 bits/pixel is a number that is known to produce high quality video. In fact, in the cases when I need to adjust input frame sizes etc, I tend to target around 0.17 bits/pixel for full screen video, and not take the time to run a compressibility test at all.

Thanks for that info.
