I use to be able to do screen capture from mpc and other video players fine when I had my radeon card in ( i sold it a while)
but now since I have only an integrated intel 82845g video device on my motherboard nothing gets capped.
Hitting PrtScrn on my keyboard does a nice capture of my desktop and the video player but what ever was playing in the player is just black now.
can anyone help me with this? Ive tried upgrading driver and it doesn't work. The integrated chip uses OpenGl. I didn't know what other forum to put this in. reason I need scrn caps is for skinning purposes.

This is because of something called 'overlay'. That means that the video is NOT produced by the regular windows graphics but is added at a later stage. The reason it worked before is (probably) that the old graphics card used DirectX instead of OpenGl. Many new players, like ZoomPlayer, have internal routines for correct screen captures. Try those instead of 'printscreen'.

that's something I didn't know. Thanks for the info :)
I'll try zoom player. Media PLayer Classic was the one I was using.

I tried zoomplayer and it takes black/blank caps still.
does anyone know what the problem could be. It happens with any video file I try to take a cap of. PowerDvd caps fine. Thing is that PowerDvd doesn't play .ogm files. :(
here is the integrated gfx card on my box.

Intel 82845G Graphics Controller.

Nevermind. I got it all fixed now. I just got the newest Vdubmod. The old one was giving me a corrupt data error for the ogms I was trying to open. The new one opened them fine. and I can use the Copy Frame To Clipboard function nicely. Needless to say it works! Thanks for your help hakko. :D
