hey,
i'm trying to get the menu and title buttons on the remote to controle my dvd properly.

when i press the return button, the warning says "no group pgc"

and i can get the menu button to return the view to the first pgc, but i can't get it to return to the previous menu. i tried to make a new vts with the extras menu and the extras in it. i thought the "menu" button sent you back to the menu in the same vts. but, i can't link my main menu which is in vts1 to my extras menu which is now in vts2.

can you help me out with this?
thanks
chaser

The "Title Menu" button on the remote will always go to the PGC marked "Title Menu", which must exist in the VMG, not a VTS.

The "Menu" or "Root Menu" button will go to the PGC in a VTS that's labeled "Root Menu". This menu has to be in a language folder in the VTS.

To get navigation to go from a menu in one VTS to a menu in another VTS, you need to make a dummy PGC in the VMG. The button in the menu in the first VTS will jump to that, and then the dummy PGC will immediately jump to the second menu in the other VTS.

To get the "Return" or "Go Up" button to work, you have to draw the navigation line for Go Up (I believe it's green) from the menu PGC to the menu where you want it to go. I think it has to stay in the same VTS. If you need it to jump elsewhere, you have to make another dummy PGC.
