I used SmartRipper to rip DVD of Region 3. It identifies all the proper contents but said 'No keys identified'. What shall I do to do the proper setup for Region 3?

Hi-
So what's the problem? It won't decrypt? Are you region 3 or a different region?
Anyway, give DVDDecrypter a try. It can do many things that SmartRipper can't. But, if you're ripping to make an .avi backup, set it to IFO Mode first. It's no longer the default.

Maybe the title doesn't have any css protection? Quite a few DVDs from R3 don't have that encryption ...

Does this mean that I dont need to rip it, and can simply copy it?

I tried DVD Decripter. It spots a wrong region and suggests me to get a region free filmware. Any good freewares out there?

As far as I know, you can remove RCE region codes using DVD Decrypter in ISO mode. Doom9's DVD Decrypter Guide (http://www.doom9.org/dvddec.htm) includes a discussion of that in the Options section. I haven't needed it, but in concert with Daemon Tools or NeroImage, one could first rip and remove RCE codes in ISO mode rip, mount the image on a virtual DVD-ROM using Daemon Tools or NeroImage, then re-rip in IFO mode or File mode, as needed for your procedures.
In addition, Doom9 has a guide specific to Making a DVD-ROM Region Free (http://www.doom9.org/rpc1.htm), which might also be helpful to you.
