Hi All

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a small video/film tranfer business here in Western Australia. After capturing film/video/slides, I edit it with Premiere and if ity is over one hour in duration, I master it to DVD on my Philips DVDR75.
If it is under one hour, then I export the file out as an AVI and then use MYDVD to compile it using their template menus.

I want to rip the DVD's I do on the Philips onto my hard drive and then compile them with new menus, either using MYDVD or another that someone may recommend, so that I can take advantage of the Philips movie file.

Basically, what I am after is a staight forward tutorial that explains the process and what all the software that I should use is. I have downloaded and installed the Gordian Knot package available on this site.

I look forward to any assistance or direction. Thanks in advance.
regards
Dean

Hello, and welcome to Doom9's forum.

Gknot is for creating MPEG-4 videos, not for DVD, which are MPEG-2 based.

Start with this link (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdr-guides.htm).
