I set up everything correct in DVD Maestro, menu's audio and video tracks the navigation and everything but when I go to Compile and it gets up to "Compiling VTS#1 [Movie 1]" Windows says: DVDMaestro.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

HI !
I have just gone through hell with compile errors. Here is the possible cause. Eventhough I had something different happening to me....but might help anyway.
1. try to reinstall maestro it is not a big deal
2. try to run it on a different computer ...this has atually solved my problem ....you may have some hardwere conflicts
3. always design your menu in upsized parameters for PAL it is 768x576
for NTSC it is 720x534. This will compensate for difference in pixel size on TV and computer screen. If you read some guides for menu design they also suggest that when you finish designing a menu you should rescale it down to 720x576 (PAL) and 720x480 (NTSC). Try not to do this in maestro and instead import menu assets upsized. Set the project setting to desired format and than drag the asset to an empty menu. It will ask if you want to force the menu to be PAL or NTSC, depending on your project settings.....say yes. Often maestro gets mixed up and somehow, regardless the project setting, it remembers the opposite of what is being set up in project settings.
4. If you lucky and have a manual look for answer there and than send me the manual
5. If none of this solves the problem ...go for scenarist.....but it is a bitch to do anything in there ...at least for me

What build are you using? Maybe you have a bad copy...does it happen with every project? Version 2.9.2915a is the last, and I get a minor compile error here and there (e.g. invalid framerate...fixed by a slight fiddle with the menu) but not complete crashes when trying to compile.
