View Full Version : Adding scenes/track marks to an episode in Scenarist

I guess Scenarist calls them scenes in their help, but I seem to think of them as track marks/chapters in an episode.
I know I've done this before, but am having problems now with the last couple of DVD's I've tried in Scenarist. I capture episodes of the TV shows I like to watch and have done just a basic DVD in Scenarist. All of a sudden though, the episodes don't play right because there seems to be a problem with the scenes/chapters I've added for easy navigation through the episodes.
In the track editor, I've selected the episode and went to view--simulation window so that I could use the time buttons there to put scenes/tracks/chapters in the exact places I want. Then I click the new scene/chapter button back on the track editor screen to create the scene/chapter. I see the different scenes being made in the timeline and in the track editor margin. However, I can not skip scenes/chapters in simulation mode. It says that it's already on the last PGC or something (can't remember the exact error since I'm at work--but this is bothering me). I create a basic menu, link the buttons to each episode and then back to the menu. I create the DVD and then the next problem starts. Once I select the episode it starts just fine, but it only plays up to where I created the fist scene/chapter and then moves on to the next episode. So, each episode out of four only plays the first 7 or so minutes and then moves to the next episode.
I've done this before, but I'm not sure where I'm going wrong on this now. I'm sure I'm over-looking something as by all means I'm not a Scenarist expert at all, but I just love the auto-routing stuff. Not that routing is hard to do in ReelDVD.

TIA!

It sounds like you created your scenario before you added your scenes, in which case the scenario now only shows the first cell and you'll need to add the others after that in the scenario editor.
