Hello,

Does anyone know if DVD X Copy can convert dvd to avi or svcd, or is it just for backing up dvd's onto dvd-r's? If it doesn't, are there any other consumer software programs out there that does the same thing as dvd2avi does? Thanks.

There are programs that can do what you want, both free and commercial.

If you want to comfort and support of commercially backed software, you might want to check into Nero Digital.
