Hi there,
I have been using Xmpeg to encode DivX content for a while now without problem, but everything I have tried to encode recently has really jumpy sound. I am using Xmpeg 5.03 and DivX 5.1.1, and the Radium 1.263 MP3 codec. I have tried different sample rates with no effect, and I assume it is a problem with the MP3 codec so I was wondering what audio codec other people used and what the best ones are for plain 2 channel sound? Thanks for any help!

Use Besweet to create your MP3. Also don't use the radium MP3 codec, it's crap compared to LAME. Here is doom9's guide for creating an MP3 from an AC3 soundtrack.

One more thing, check to make sure that your not resampling your mp3 to 44khz, it should stay at 48khz.

Cheers for the help Hiro2k,
I was just wondering if I could use the LAME codec with Xmpeg, and how to install it. I have downloaded it but it only seems to be an executable file rather than an install, so how do I get Xmpeg to "see" LAME? Do I have to put the exe into a folder somewhere? Thanks for the help,
