Hi all!

Ok. The five days are over. Finally.

Yes, this is a noob's posting!

Anyway. I did a search before for '24062003-1' plus bugs'n'crashes, but didn't find anything related to my problem (maybe I need better specs...).

The problem is pretty simple: I installed koepi's 24062003-1 build and tried to encode a video with VirtualDub 1.5.9, but as soon as I hit the 'GO!' button (so to speak), I recieived an error message that let me know that there is not enough memory available (one gig here). The provided error code was 3.

I tried several different settings, but the outcome was always the same.

This didn't happen with the previous build.

I use WinXP SP1 with dual AMD MP 1800+ and 1 GB of RAM.

Any idea what's wrong here?

Thanks,

Tried different encoding types? (CBR / Quant / Quality...) ?
Under XviD configuration hit the Load Defaults and see if that helps.

Oh and you could aswell try the latest XviD version 1.0 Beta ;)

What is the video source you are encoding ? AVI ? MPEG1, 2 ? AVS ? What is the resolution ? Did you use "interlace" in the XviD's settings ? And finally, like communist says, try ( and adopt :) ) XviD v1.0 beta.

Communist: yep, I've tried different encoding types. Made no difference.

Manao: the source is an AVI (DivX), resolution 640x432. I didn't use Xvid's interlace setting on that. I wanted to run a couple of filters on the video, so I tried to re-encode it without these, but to no avail. :(

I have already downloaded the 1.0b beta, but didn't install it untill now, as I am a bit...er...reluctant?...afraid?...shy?...hmmm...something like that. :)

Seems that I'll have to give it a go anyway.

Thanx!

Does the path to the statsfile exist?
