I want to reduce a DVD (> 4.7 GB) to fit on 1 DVD using Pinnacle Instant Copy.

How do I get rid of the unwanted Dolby promotion sequence which plays whenever the DVD starts and which can't be stopped? Presumably if I just delete the VOB that refers to it, that will cause problems with the DVD starting?

thanx

I believe Instant Copy 8 can remove unwanted titles. Not sure whether it completely eliminates the title and its referers or if it replaces the video with a blank still.

I also don't know if Instant Copy 7 has this feature...

Look into my title stripping guides here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43142). You'll be replacing that Title with a single blank cell.

Thanks, but it's heavy going.

I've used Instant Copy 8 to remove one unwanted title but not the opening warning - presumably there is no tool where one can just preview content, then remove it from being included in the final 1x DVD-R (compressed )?

MenuEdit can do it (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57186). As far as I know DvdStripper can also do it.
