and if you use cheep papers. a friend of mine said he tested a backup then put a lable on it and now ist a coster or has problems playing but only ocasinaly.anybody herd of this ?

thanks for any feed back

you might want to try searching the DVD BURNING forum. there has been a LOT of discussion on the merits (or lack thereof) of labelling dvds.

thanks,I did some reading but did not see anything on that.
then I went back 6-7 pages ? and found a good bit on the subject.
maybee they can make a sticky thread,or put something in the facts about the covers and how they "might" give problems.depending on your player and or label type.anyway thanks

no worries mate,
ummm.....one of the articles i was referring to was this one
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57410&highlight=labels started by markrb
although if you type 'labels' in the search you will find quite a few others:

hope that helps

I never tried putting labels on DVDs, but I did notice on CDRs they mess the CD up.

I think DVD players and like headsets don't have a strong enough motor to spin the weight of the label added to the CD...and then maybe it wouldn't get enough angular momentum to read it...

whatever...back to physics lol
