Hi

I have a MPEG2 elementary stream in DVD format and an audio track in wav audio track consisting of two parts. What I want to archive is to sync the audio track with the MPEG2 elementary stream.

I know how to cut/merge the audio track into one file and also remove or add an delay.

So far I use Ifoedit to mux them and play it back with a software DVD player to check if they are in sync.

What I am looking for is a piece of software which allows me to play back the video and audio stream before I mux them as a vob's.

This software should be able to open an mpeg elementary video stream and a wav stream, play it back, allow seeking forward and backward. Even more nice would be if an audio delay could be applied dynamically.

I have tried it with Adobe Premiere, Mpeg2Schnitt06f and AVI Synth. The problem with this software is, that the Audio and Video are not in sync at all after seeking.

Do you know another possibility?

Thank you for any help.

No problem. Use VirtualDubMod. It can play an MPEG video stream, and you can select a wav-file as audio. You can then play, fast-forward and backward etc. Since you can set a delay for your wav-file, you can find out the needed delay to get in sync. Once you found the correct delay, you can enter it in IFO-edit to multiplex them.

It's free, it's cool :-) It should be somewhere in Doom9's download section.

Good luck,

The Jez

Thank you very much for your hint. With VirtualDubMod I am able to set and check the correct delay.
