Invlid ASPI

This is my first attemp to download SmartRipper. It requires me to first intall the ASPI driver. However, I received the following error message when I click on aspi checker or ForceASPI:
'c:\D&C\\\\content.IES\0986h56b\aspichk[1].rar' is invalid or damage.
What can I do to resolve this?

I'm using a professional software call Vegas Video 4. It can edit a .mpg file and perform DVD authoring. After I rip a DVD Chapter or theoratical trailer with SmartRipper, do I need to convert the .VOB file to a .mpg file, or I can just simply rename it to a .mpg file and import it to Vegas Video? If I need further conversion(s), which program(s) should I use?

Actually, all .rar programs, including SmartRipper, that I download give me the similar message about invalid or damage ....rar file. Help!

just a thought but have you tried downloading WinRAR available (here) (http://www.rarlab.com/) and uncompressing the files?
you will always get those errors when using WinZip to extract .RAR files.
