tmpeg dvd author problems

hi to all outhere
im authoring with tmpeg and i have a problem
it goes like this the minidvd that i produce plays fine on my pc but when i load it in my standalone dvd player the clip that i use for the main menu (both audio & video )plays at half speed!
am i doing sth wrong?
every suggestion is welcome!

Another problem with tmpeg is that i cannot link files
eg. on my first track i have the hall movie and i want to make a second track which will allow me to see certain chapters of the movie
do not rush and tell that it is possible!
i want to do it without increasing the amount of data in the dvd!
i just want to tell the program to play something(certain chapters) from the first track and not add again the movie file?
is it possible?if not what would you recommend (programs)?

just create chapters at the points you want.

can your standalone play mini dvds?? maybe not.
(try the same files on a dvd)

Yes my standalone can play minidvd

if i create chapters i will once again add the same file to the second track
Im asking if there is a way to put links on the second track that refer to certain points of the file(main movie) in the first track
