DVD deals (mostly stolen from a thread at DVD talk), some of these are morning only:
Best Buy:

Target:
Legally Blonde 2; The Lion King $11.88 each.
Phone Booth; Bringing Down The House; Kings of New York; The Recruit; Down With Love; Sleeping Beauty; Chicago $12.88 each

KMart:
Piglet's Big Movie; Sleeping Beauty; The Lion King; Jungle Book 2; George of the Jungle 2; The Recruit; Kings of New York; Chicago; Shangha Nights; Bringing Down the House at $14.99 each.
Also, Bestbuy is running a 5 for $25 deal for the following titles, I think this might run all day or all weekend, but I'm not sure:
A Fist Full of Dollars
Hang'em High
For a Few Dollars More
The Good the Bad and the Ugly
The Great Escape
A Bridge Too Far
Patton
My Cousin Vinny
Roadhouse
Kiss of the Dragon
When Harry Met Sally
Porky's
Men of Honor
Wall Street
Commando
Cast Away
Say Anything
Ronin
Big Mamma's House
Young Frankenstein
Spaceballs
I'm a big eastwood/Leone fan so I wouldn't mind getting those 3, plus Hang'm High and then either Ronin, Great Escape or A Bridge Too Far. Unfortunately, the nearest best buy is an hour away and they don't have anything else worth the hassle.
I scanned thru the deals for stuff that might interest us video enthusiasts and kept notes in this post:
Bestbuy:

Office Depot:
-Lite-On LDW-411S 4x4x12 dual-format DVD±RW burner (144514) for $130, a $30 mail-in rebate is available and a $10 mail-in rebate is available. Final $90 after 2mail-in rebates.
Walmart:
-Apex DVD/CD Player : $29.87
Sears:
-Apex DVD (SKU:57123) $27.99
Circuit City (the link above is kinda vauge, but the ad is up a CC.com):
-DVD player for $30, (this player looks like crap (no digital out, no svideo, no progressive scan) the Apex deals are probably better.)
-Dolby Digital Home Theater System with built-in CD/DVD player (T352) for $100, and a $25 mail-in rebate is available. (DTS too, for a cheap system this is steal)
(also, I couldn't find any DVD Burner for $70 after rebate)
Walgreens:
-Popular Hollywood movies on DVD and VHS. DVD's are 2 for $5 or VHS Tapes are 2 for $3. The titles vary by store, and there's a 4 movie limit per customer. (I'd like to see their definition of popular :)
MediaPlay:
-KHypermedia 10-pack of DVD-R or DVD+R media for $8.99, and a $9 mail-in rebate is available.
-Coby progressive-scan DVD player $30
Target:
-Progressive Scan DVD Player CH-DVD320 $34.44
-unknown-brand DVD player for $12.99, limit 2 per customer (I couldn't find this in their flier)
Shop Rite:
-Daewoo DVD Player for $28.88
Staples:
-Staples 100 pack CDR Spindle SKU 452556 $25, and a $25 mail-in rebate is available

-Belkin 100 pack Slim Jewel Cases SKU 517928 $14.98, and a $15 mail-in rebate is available
-Pacific Digital Internal DVD+R/RW (516162) for $150, then a $30 Staples mail-in rebate is available and a $30 manufacturer mail-in rebate is available ($90 after rebates)
-Sony 48X CDRW/DVD ROM Combo Internal SKU 513118 for $100, and a $20 mail-in rebate is available.
-Sony DVD+-R/+-RW Internal Dual Format Drive SKU 513120 for $180, and a $30 mail-in rebate is available.
-Iomega 52X External CDRW USB 2.0 SKU 504518 for $100, and a $30 mail-in rebate is available.
MicroCenter (vauge, and you need coupons or something, check flier for details):
-Maxtor 30GB 7200rpm hard drive for $30
-Buslink DVD+RW drive for $80
-Belkin Slim CD jewel cases for $6
-5-pack of DVD-R 2x media discs for $2
CompUSA:
-DVD player $34.99 (brand varies by store)
-90 CD-R $7.95 (no rebates, no brand specified)
-40GB 7200 HD $29.99 after $50 mail in rebate. (no brand specified)
-Buslink 4X DVD+-R $99 after $30MIR
-50% off Memorex DVD media. That puts -/+R at $25 for 25, -RW $10 for 5 (with Jewel), and +RW $22.49 for 25 (<--that's smokin hot)
The only stores I have near me are Staples, Kmart and Walmart. So I might head to staples for the FAR CD-Rs and Slim Cases. If I had a CompUSA I would be all over that Memorex +RW media.
