Ok, I have ripped a DVD which has trailers on it as extras.
I put the 2 trailers at the beginning and then the movie follows.
My problem is that when finished the audio comes out right for the trailers, but the wrong language for the movie itself.
I kept adding the extra .vob files with dvd2avi to get the single file in the end, but I can't seem to get the audio right.
I have tried to go back and just rip the audio out again and the same thing happens.
I can get only the sound for the movie, but not only the sound for the trailers. I don't get it.
Any ideas?
thanks

Welcome to the forums. The best way to do this is not to attempt to create one DVD2AVI project for the whole thing, but to encode the trailers and the movie separately, and then join the two final files together with VirtualDub (if using AVI container). My guess would be that the audio substream you're attempting to use for the trailers is a different language substream for the main movie. Since this isn't really audio related, I'll move it to newbies, where you can get some more help if needed.

Welcome the Forums! :D
Are you doing a movie only? If so, just use DVDShrink 3.0 beta 5 to re-author. Here's the guide (http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php). DVDShrink is freeware.;)

Thanks Kpex, I was beginning to wonder if anyone was going to answer me.
Well the reason I want to do one big dvd2avi file is that I'm not that good at getting things to match up otherwise.
I tried doing it that way and when I go to append one to the other the audio is somehow different and nandub won't do it, Vdubmod won't do it, Vdub won't do it.
How do I make sure the audio is the same for both files so I can append them when finished?
Oh, 2COOL, thanks for the advice, but I have more than the movie. I have trailers from the extras that I want in my avi. That is what is causing my probs.
I'm good at just the movie using GKnot, but maybe I'll check out DVDShrink for my next project.
thanks

There are two ways (maybe more, I don't know:)) to make this.
First is to make the two (or three) files separately with GKnot and right audio track and after that to merge them together with VDub (or VDubMod, or Nandub).
Oops, sorry, Kpex gave it.
The second is to make the video as one file, afterwards to use Batch mode in BeSweet Gui cheking the option Convert to one mp3. That means you load two or three ac3 files in order you want and BeSweet will produce one mp3 which contents all three.
