View Full Version : How to get Maestro to accept DTS files??

I'm backing up DVD to DVD-R, retaining only 1 audio track--the DTS track, which is ~700MB. DVD Maestro initially accepts and parses the DTS track. However, when I'm trying to select the audio track to create 'sync audio', my DTS track does not show in the pop-up window that opens up-->only certain file-types appear, i.e., DD5.1 AC3...

So I select 'All files' from drop-down selection in order that my DTS file becomes selectable and then choose it... But Maestro just simply freezes or gives me the following error:

"Audio Type No Supported For Sync Audio"

I've asked this question several times on different boards and I can't seem to find a solution. What am I doing wrong. I understood Maestro was supposed to handle DTS files.. ?? Please advise. Thanks.

The help file states:

"Note: You can only create a synchronous audio track with either PCM or AC-3 audio. This process will not work with any other audio file format."

Why do you need to use sync audio at all? I've never needed to use it when backing up DVD-Rs...
