When playing a DVD-R backup created by Ifoedit on a TV using a DXR2, the image appears to flicker and display aliased artifacts in fine detail: kind of like the field order is messed up and resulting in a reduced perceived resolution and a headache.
I don't re-author or re-encode with Ifoedit, simply strip streams, split and re-create ifos from vobs, so I wouldn't think Ifoedit should affect flags that identify field order, interlace/progressive, etc.
This flickering effect does not seem to occur if I simply burn a rip without passing through Ifoedit (except for VTS sectors processing).
It does look like Ifoedit processing somehow affects important flags that are used by the DXR2 player to determine how the data is to be rendered.
Has anyone experienced this type of problem before and know the reason and a fix or workaround?
