Halo,
I have a Denver DVD188DivX standalone player.
Many of my films I have in DivX or Xvid format have a subtitles(sub, srt.txt), but this player doesnīt work with them yet.

Does anybodey know what kind of subtitles are compatible with this DVD player or any universal kind of subtitles for standard DVD?
Or is there any way how to implantate (but not pernamently,i have more subtitles to one film) subtitles to the DivX movie as it is on DVD. If yes, how?
I need to read subtitles, I canīt speak english so well.
Please help me.

PS
Second disadvantage is I canīt use zoom in divX films.
I hope in upgrade on manufacturerīs site that fix this bug.

have u tried VobSub? in theory it should work, since it is only a subpicture stream. i'm not sure though how to make your player to play it. but please share your experiences.

also, u may have to use the .sub file uncompressed, as it may very well be the case that ur player is incompatible with rar compression. although, u might try an old version, like 2.8 or 2.6, just in case.

Vobsub subtitles don't work on my Kiss  , i think the only subtitles working are text-based subtitles.

that's strange. the support of any txt-based subtitle format should be a plus in a standalone player. i mean it should be able to play bitmap-subs by default.
