Hi,

well I use dvd2svcd since I became a member of this forum. I have a question. For example I have a homemade movie , where you see me in a band playing some music. To encode my avi recording I use CCE 2.67 trial version in conjuction with Avisynth 2.5. However I want to do something more with the audio than the capabilities I have. I want to take the audio and run it through bidule (see audio encoding section sticky post nr. 1). But however I run in this problem. Before I use dvd2svcd I use virtualdub to demux the audio and than run it through a soundeditor to make it a 32 bit 48 khz wav. After that I start working on the video by encoding it with DVD2svcd. But the final result is that I end up with an encoded CCE video file which size doesn't match the audio length. So while authoring the DVD I end up with sync problems. To solve this I first run the movie trough dvd2svcd and than I take the encoded mp2 file and make it a 32 bit 48 khz wav. After running it trough bidule and using besweet to split the files I get a correct lenght. So my question is, does CCE drops frames or what ? Or is it a DVD2SVCD problem?

HI!

I had a problem like this, but with subtitles. Searched the web a lot and found out: Yes CCE drop frames in multipass VBR mode. From ver 2.67.00.22 it has been corrected.
