Hi everybody.
I don't know if this is the right forum, but here it goes. Does any of you know if there is a way to increase lkVCDxRIP speed? It takes me nearly half an hour per CD.
In fact, I use lkVCDxRIP to re-create the xml file from already burnt SVCDs, that gives chapters position, the goal being to reauthor my old SVCD collection to DVD-R. So there is an other corrolar question :
do you know a quickest way to extract SVCD chapters?

Hi again.
In fact, I have something else in mind, that could help me extracting my svcd chapters, but maybe it's the wrong forum. Anyway. I could do with a (soft) player that would correctly display time. I tried some, none displayed the right durations.
Any suggestions ?

Coo-ee... Am I alone?
Here is a way : firstly make an image of the SVCDs on the HD ; THEN, use lkVCDxRIP... It worked for me, 7 to 11 min instead of 30...
But, where are they all gone? :confused:

Frankly, I never heard of lkVCDxRIP before ... but vcdeasy offers just the same frontend functionality - and "first rip to hd, then vcdxrip" is the default setting there :).

lkVCDxRIP is just part of VCDImager Tools GUI ; maybe I should have thought to tell this earlier. VCDEasy, you say? Mmh. Let's see.

most svcd rippers are slow. i can rip dvds faster than my svcds. i always presumed its a hardware limitation.

@smiller,
now I'm getting more confident with VCDeasy, I can tell it, one more time, smiller, you saved the day and a lot of time! Thanks again.
YES! VCDeasy is the prog I needed (and I'm very proud to have find all by myself the same proceeding than skilled programmers)!
Just note that for over-overburnt SVCDs, VCDImager tools GUI is able to rip further than VCDeasy. But slowly.
