Few things:
1- Make sure that your DVD player is able to play DivX stuff on DVD. Many DVDs with DivX files are treated as normal DVDs so they won't be played on some standalones. To check it just try on a DVD RW.
PS: the same is for MP3 DVD ... for exaple my standalone reads MP3 CDs but not MP3 DVDs.
2- Create your DVD using normal ISO 9660 format. Someone uses UDF or others, but for normal files, it's ok.
3- In your post is not clear if you want to burn DivX to DVD "as they are" or a quick guide to convert them to regular MPEG2 DVD. If the second, read the doom9 guides and all stickys about CCE / TMPGenc and other progs.
It's not difficult, it's just the resizing part a little bit tricky.

Frankly I don't think its worth the trouble.
If I were you, I'd get that Liteon DVD player that plays back DIVX...converting them to mpeg2 is going to be a royal pain. Plus you'll probably wind up with audio sync issues too...just not worth it!
I spent too much time on that mess.
