Hello everyone, I'm thinking of trying to develop a program which has something to do with dvd. To even begin with this, I'll need some technical information about VOB, IFO and BUP files, but I can't seem to find any. Can anyone help me?

VOB files are MPEG-2 program streams with a packet size of 2048 bytes. They also have private streams for AC3 data, macrovision info, etc
IFO files are more complex, and are Information files for the DVD. The BUP files are just backup copies of IFO files.
mpucoder's site is a great source of info for technical details on IFO files, etc, but isn't entirely free. VStrip is a good C source code for dealing with IFO files. MPEG-2 info can be found lots of places on the net.
That's a start, once you've looked into that, be more specific on what you need to know and Im sure someone can help...
