Burning Movie into 2 DVDs

I have ripped 2 movies that are about 8GB each after ripping. I have tried to use Shrinker but that causes problems such as movie stopping at times etc.

Can I actually split the movie into 2 and write them on 2 DVDs each? What is the best software for this?

You can use IfoEdit to select chapter points to split the video into two. And, if you used SmartRipper to rip the original DVD, you can choose which chapters to rip. So you can choose to split before or after ripping.

Were you using dvdshrink? You can easily split 1 movie to 2 discs with dvdshrink. Just follow the guides here (http://www.dvdshrink.info).
