avisynth 2.53 bug

Ever since the first post 2.52 version of avisynth and including the recently released 2.53, I have been getting an error every time I close virtualdubmod or every time I close an .avs file in virtualdubmod. The same goes for plain virtualdub. The error is the standard "virtualdubmod.exe encountered an error and need to shut down...". The module with which the error occurs is reported as "unknown".
The problem is quite annoying, since I can't schedule multiple jobs any more.
The problem is resolved if I revert to the official 2.52.
I am using winXP on a p4 with hyperthreading.

Could you empty your autoloading plugin dir, and try again?

It worked... It seems the problem is caused by a filter named smartdecimate (v. 0.21). Fortunately I have never used it beyond trying it out... Maybe I should change the thread title to "Smartdecimate bug"... If only I knew how...

This happens with all C-plugins. Sh0dan and Kevin know the problem. I don't know if anything can be done about it.
