Since I've had my DVD-RW drive I've been out of the encoding scene. For the six months I've been content to just use a one-click backup solution for all my DVD needs, but now that I have a bit of time I'm diving back in to the guts of it all.

Since I mostly do anime DVDs I've been looking into AVISynth again... My how it's changed. All the filters I used to use are replaced by newer, cooler ones and the sheer number of options is astounding; Which brings me to the point of this message.

What are you guys using for your anime encodes? I searched through the forums and most of the stuff I've read was posted months ago.

I am familiar with decomb.dll and all of its inherent goodness, but I see that it has advanced quite a bit in the last several months. What is a good place to start with decomb for IVTCing anime? I know there are no perfect settings for everything, but looking through the readme is making my head spin.

Where should I start?
