Hi! I want to buy a new capture card. I already went through the FAQ but the threads there are a little old, so I think some new cards might be available.

I want it to have TV Tuner so I can plug an antenna or cable in it and watch TV in my PC. I already have an ATI AIW 7500, but I want to upgrade that to a 9600 Pro and I see no point on spending another $90 on the AIW version of that, so I want to keep my 3D Card aside from my capture card.

I'm looking for something not more that $200. I might consider an external device if its good enough, and my regular sources would be cable, camcorder and VCR, with a final destination of AVI files (for TV shows) and DVDs (for VCR/camcorder conversion)

Any suggestions?

I'm on the same situation as you are, and this seems to be a 'forbiden' issue on this forum, as nobody answers to that question, but my little piece of advice:
Stay away from Pinnacle cards.
If you like, take a look at this link and see what Pinnacle defines as 'good-looking picture'.

Hope it helps

Hello

I am very happy with my Aver TV PCI (Desktop TV and PVR)card, it costed me less than US$60.00.
