Email Notification Problem

I hope this is the right place to post this..

How do I set up my User CP (Profle/Preference) to receive an email whenever someone replies to a thread I subscribe to? I have the "Use 'Email Notification' by default?" set to "Yes" so I'm not sure why I'm not getting any email notification. Under Edits Option, I have everything set to "Yes" except Invisible Mode. Also, when replying to a post, I always make sure the "Email Notification" check box is ticked. I know my email address is okay coz I check it everyday and I get email notification from other forums I frequent. I will not know if/when someone replies to this post so please PM me instead.

there's some type of problem with hotmail accounts, and a few months ago i'd had the same problem with my yahoo account, later found out it was being deliver into the bulk folder, go fig. a click here and there, and now it's fixs.

As expected, I didn't get a notification that someone replied to this thread so I saved the URL so that I could check it later...

Anyways, I don't have either Hotmail or Yahoo account and my account doesn't even have an option to filter out spam so I get tons of junk mail everyday (good thing I have a 10MB quota otherwise most of my emails would not get thru).

i can't believe i'm suggesting this, under profile, did you type in your email address correctly?

for me, everything is set to yes, except for hide email & private messages #2

I checked my email address just now and I typed it correctly so that's not what's causing it. As far as getting notification, I think I did during my "Junior Member" days. I think you're right, I will try a different email account and see if I get notification.

Well I tried a different account and I'm happy to say that I'm not getting email notification.
