After joining a 2-disc movie, the movie freezes on my standalone at the point where the second disc should start and i have to advance it a few frames and after which it plays to the end with no problem.

I used VobEdit.

I understand that you used VOB Edit. Did you use1. Join CellVob Files or
2. Join clips?
After the "join" operation1. How did you modify the IFO file?
2. How does the movie behave and do you receive any errors in IFO Edit?
3. Are you combining both movies to 1 PGC?
4. Are you trying to create a multiple-Titleset DVD?
5. Are you using the same or did you create a new VIDEO_TS. IFO.

Need a little more detail on what you want and how you got to where you are.
