It is simple in many automated subtitle programs.In vobsub also you can do this.Open *.sub in SubResyn[Installed with Vobsub]and save as *.srt.

@Tuning,

I did try the Subresyn last night, but after OCRing 1st line,
the proggie is freeze, and I have to close it with ctrl-alt-del,
close the app.

I hope you can give me an idea to solve this problem.

TIA.

PS. I'm using WinXp Pro SP1, Vobsub 2.23.

There is a probability of corrupt subs.Can you create *.sub format with OCRing.After that simply open *.sub[Not the index file the text showing *.sub]and save as *.srt,no OCRing required further.

I create the .sub with "VobSub configure" - open,
there is no OCR option anyway.

I did try with VSRip to create the .sub and the result was the same,
freeze after OCR-ing the 1-st line, can continue to the 2-nd line.

PS. I usually use SubRip to rip the subtitle, but last time the SubRip was failed since the subtitle has the transparant background :(
That's why I used the VobSub to rip the subtitle, and now I need to
convert it into .srt format.

Thank you.

@Tuning,

Finally I can find the problem, the subtitle is somehow corrupt :(

I try another DVD and the SubReSyn works very well. :)

Thank you.

SubRip can also do this very well... in the file open thing select Open Dir and find your SUB file... then you can just OCR it and save it in 50 different formats.

You should only use SubRip when OCR:ing vobsubs.

@Eyecannon, masken

Surprising me, I never thought that SubRip can do OCR-ing
vobsub's .sub. I'll try then.

Thank you.
