Search word length

I would like to suggest that the minimum word length allowed for searching be changed from 3 to 2.

My reason is that on several occasions I have wanted to seach a forum for "DV", but have been unable to. Hence, I have to try and think of something that may be relevant to DV that someone may have included. A very hit and miss affair!

YEAH! or an exception for the word DV or other specific small word that relate to a search!

but searching for DV alone doesn't make much sense, does it? Furthermore, the large majority of DV related posts would actually be centered in the DV forum, so you can strike that search term and restrict your search to only the DV forum.

I know what they are getting at though....One might want to search for:
DV AND XviD

For experiences of converting from one to the other which might be contained in either forum...Not the best example, but you see what I mean.

But I also know lowering the word limit causes the indexes to bloat in size, so I can understand why it may not be possible to change it...

yeah i understand also and that was the case i had... i wanted to convert a something to DV or somethign like that and leaving the word DV cause so many his that it was impossible to find.
