Hi - the last Vobs in the Lion King PAL, disk 1 has a couple of multi angle bits -

I really dont want to try and use Scenarist manually - what do the multiangles do on this DVD and what would happen if i just ripped it with angle 1 in DIF4U so I could use reauthorist?

They just contain slightly different end credits. For instance if you watch the special addition it has some extra scenes, so the other angle just lists all the people who worked on those scenes as well. If you don't mind stripping this out then there is no harm in just authoring the one angle, but I have no idea if it will work just selecting the one angle in Dif4u because the ifo still needs to be modified and I'm not sure how IfoUpdate would handle that. It might work fine, but I just stripped that Angle 2 in IFOEdit first and then made a new disk image and used that in Dif4u. Plays fine.

You can loose the angle easily. Don't select all angles in Dif4u and do what you normally do. Ifoupdate as usual.

Ifoupdates looks at chapters. The second angle is a cell so no problem there

I have tried to use Dotfast4U by deselecting multi angle on a multi angle movie but I have ended up with a multi angle vod demuxed first part. Of course reathorist did not do anything. íthe multi angle containing part was replaced by a dammy part. Did I do something wrong?
Thanks for any help.

@ molmik

as richto suggested, when demux by vobid is selected, you can use Scenaid to generate your script for you.

alternatively, once you have deselected the 'autoselect all angles' in the 'global options' menu, you must also deselect the 'demux by vobid' option in the main windoe of DIF4U (located in the working directory section of the gui)
