hi all,
i had an interesting anomaly recently after upgrading to doitfast4u 1.3.3 and dvddecrypter 3.1.7.0.
previously i had managed a successful back up of 'old school-uncut' r4 edition using earlier versions of the big 3 but had kept the original iso on my computer while i was testing the dvd-r...which has subsequently been relegated to coaster status following an unfortunate incident :(
anyways after loading the latest versions, numenu4u rc2 ran without a hitch but doitfast4u would encounter a 'error parsing parameter file' - which i already knew was an issue with subs. however upon completion the vts folders containing the extras (vts_03, vts_09, vts_10) were empty?!?!?
so i tried again with ALL subs selected....same thing?!?!?
...then no subs selected....same thing?!?!?!
so after trying my usual troubleshooting techniques (scratch head...scream...kick computer....run around in circles) i decided to uninstall dvddecrypter 3.1.7.0 and re-install 3.1.6.0.
and wouldnt you know it....no problems at all!:D
so i am happy, yet confused at to why this occured.
any thoughts?
j
ps a HUGE thankyou to the creators of these tools, without whom i would still be stumbling along on the dark! you rock!
pps sorry for the length of this essay but as the great homer (s) once said..."i like stories!" ;)
