VOB sizes?

Do .VOB files have to stick to any type of legal size?
My problem is my 2 multi-episode discs are 10 in all so would I be able to join vobs 9 & 10 as one so as to give me 9 vobs in total?

I think there is no legal size VOBs have to stick to, so your 9th VOB should work even if it's >1GB
