well the title tells it all, does it?
i've looked at the revision history and haven't found anything so i rather doubt it, but perhaps it is still ?!

if it doesn't, would it cause trouble to simply rename and replace the files?

thanks

At the moment dif4u doesn't use this. reason for this is that RA cannot handle the d2v files created by this dvd2avi version.

I believe eyes talked to the author about creating the project files in the same manner as the regular dvd2avi, but maybe he can comment on that.

Donald will give us a switch in his next version allowing old-style d2v files from CLI, at which point we can integrate.

nice, so i do not have to post this as a feature request in the dvd2avidg thread in the dvd2avi forum :)

thanks for your time

What about audio delays?

DVD2AVI FAQ Q17/Q19

According to the DVD2AVIdg thread DVD Decrypter’s delays are similar to the original DVD2AVI. Therefore, if the video is processed with DVD2AVIdg and the audio with Decrypter there will be a possible synch gap different than what reported by Decrypter.

I have read that the DVD2AVIdg package could be used with doitfast4u (if we do the authoring manually and not use ReAuthorist i.e. VOBID projects).

Has anyone here used the DVD2AVIdg package with doitfast4u successfully?

If yes are there any extra manual steps needed to be taken for audio delays? Maybe adjust the delay manually based on a demux by DVD2AVIdg instead of the automated adjustment based on Decrypter.

On this subject…Why can’t we use the AC3 timestamps of the demuxed audio for synch and have to do a manual correction? This used to be the approach with maestro…

Since DoItFast4U! doesn't even use DVD2AVI to demux audio (unless you use HDD Mode, which I don't), there is no issue to speak of.
