well ive finally got the avs opening in cce (thx to all those that helped)

now the other problem is which ive just noticed

the movie time in my .avs scirpt when played in windows media player is 1hour 23mins
but when i play the .avi in windows media player it is 1 hour 44 mins

ive tested this on a few movies and all the time the .avs is shorter in film lengh.....im not sure if it still encodes the whole movie as i notice the frames are the same in cce

so is this a minor bug or a problem for me?

thx again

hy Nifty!

this is "normal" in wmplayer!

open the .avs in vdub and
the .avi in mpclassic or another(good)player!
...--> or open "everything" in vdubmod!

you'll get the right "time"!

Let's see.

At 29.976 fps, your video is reported to be 1 hour and 23 minutes long. That means it's 83 minutes * 60 seconds/minute * 29.976 frames/second = ~149280 frames.

But at 23.976 fps, a 149280 frame movie would be 149280 frames * (1/23.976) seconds/frame * (1/60) minutes/second = ~103 minutes = ~1 hour, 43 minutes, which is about what WMP reports.

Seems like the fps you specify in DirectShowSource is wrong.

You might want to check out mf's AVIDShowSource (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60888) function.

You misunderstood. You should have used 23.976.
