Nero Version for burning with NEC ND-1300A?

I've been using Nero 5.5.6.1 that I got with my TDK VeloCD Rewriter, but I just replaced the VeloCD with a NEC ND-1300A. Nero 5.5.6.1 seems to only be for CD burners, but did identify the drive as an "Image Recorder" with medium types "CD-R/RW, DDCD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+RW".

Can I use this version of Nero for burning to CDs on the ND-1300A? Where can I get an updated version for burning/authoring DVDs?

Nero doesn't recognize your drive as Image Recorder, your drive isn't supported by this version of Nero. The Image Recorder is only a dummy drive which will store recorded files as image on your HD and this isn't your drive.

If you own Nero 5.5.6.1 I'd suggest you to update to the newest available Nero 5.5x version for free. (get it at ftp://ftp4.nero.com/nero551054.exe ). This version supports you drive.
