Hey-
I was trying to create a backup of my DVD, and I've ripped the movie with DVD Decrypter, then I created IFOs with IFO Edit, I then Shrank the movie with DVD2One, and now I need to merge the IFOs with IFO Update. The other files worked fine, but this one is having a problem. Whenever I try to start it, an error says:
ERROR: The IFO has more cells than the original. ABORTING
I searched the forum and was unable to locate anything dealing with this. Can anyone help?

It means your newly created ifo is not the same as the original one.
Well ok it's not the same that's quite logical, but the layout of your PGCs, chapters and cells are different between the original and the newly authored one.
I'm also curious about what mode you're using within ifoupdate. (for example adjusted cell mode and you nee just normal mode or so)

I am using adjusted cell mode because the PGC area is not large enough to use standard mode. What can I do to Update my IFO? Can I change the mode back to standard if I "Get VTS Sectors"?

You need to be clear on what the different modes do:
Standard: you recreated the exact structure as the original. So including all PGCS (if there's more then one)
Adjusted cell mode: you have a multi PGC layout, with repeated vobids. To make it easier you can use adjusted cell mode if you have a pgc which holds all vobids. Instead of recreating the exact structure with all pgcs you just create a structure with one PGC (the one with all the vobids).
It's not that you try normal first and then go to ACM if that didn't work out.
The only way to update your ifo is to create a structure that fits either the normal mode or the ACM mode.
Compare both the original and the reauthored ifo to see what's the difference between them.

Need to see original and newly authored ifo to be able to see what you did wrong

I figured out the problem, after I ran it through DVD2One, I neglected to click the "Part 2" folder, but instead I clicked the part 1 folder. Thanx anyway for your help though!
