Hi

I have a DVB card that i use to record movies from the TV to MPEG2 and later put it on a personal DVD.

To avoid the commercial brakes i cut the movie parts out and then multiplex them again, but i have some problems on on some mpegs that when i have cut the moviepart out the sound is gone (?). I've tried to demultiplex the part and run the audio by itself but its silent ..

What could be wrong? Why does the sound dissapear when i cut a part out? :(

Probably a corruption in the stream to produce a blank file. So when it seeks, it hits the corruption point and stops playing the sound. I've dealt with similar problems when I tried to demultiplex, I never really found a solution. I suppose you could try getting the audio through DVD2AVI then re-encode it in like besweet and demultiplex the video in TMPGEnc and try multiplexing again.

You can also try editing the mpeg with a different tool, like Womble Mpeg2vcr or M2 Edit Pro.
