any way to sharpen the picture a bit?

been using tmpgenc for ages now to convert my avi files to mpeg2 format i was wondering if there was anyway to sharpen the picture a touch in tmpgenc

In the Advanced tab of MPEG Setting, there's an option to Sharpen Edge. Warning, though: it's going to make TMPGEnc encoding take much, much longer. I usually prefer to use AVISynth to filter, resize, sharpen, etc. my videos and just do the encoding with TMPGEnc.
