Im backing up Street Fighter 2 ,the animated manga. It has one audio track which the case and power dvd say is 5.1 audio. But dvd decrypter and dif4u both say its 2 channel audio, yet in the demuxed audios name it has 448.
Any ideas as to why this says this.
Secondly the disc has dvd rom features.Im not sure if you can access these from the dvds menu but how would i go about keeping these by leaving enough room on the disc.Theres about 130mb on there ??

Ifoedit says (Dolby AC-3) 2ch 48kps DRC ...
With the second issue, what if i copied the dvd rom features and folders and pasted them into the video_ts folder, then opened reauthorist. Then reauthorist would think theres 200mb in the video_ts folder instead of 80mb.Then it would caculate a different bitrate, a bit lower than what it was at 80mb.Would'nt this then leave me enough space on the disc to put the rom features back in the right place. ?
OK Forget that, tried it didnt work.
So i was thinking what about this.
Reauthorist says the total will be 4462.75 MB. The rom features come to 125mb.What if i dropped the bitrate down untill the total says 4300.75 , then there should be enough room to fit the rom features after ive compiled and updated with ifoupdate.

1st issue: That's really weird. Sounds like the IFO is incorrect. After demuxing the audio, you could import it into something like Sonic Foundry to see what channels actually contain audio, I guess. I'm sure some of our other competent forum members have even better ideas than this though. I'm not an authority on audio by any means. :)
2nd issue: Sounds like your idea would work. Takes a bit of manual doing, but the theory sounds solid to me.

Im gonna try the second issue when i do encode and i'll get back to you to tell you if it worked, then others will now how to keep them rom extras, for those who dont know.
As for the audiodif4u and reauthorist both say that its 2ch, so does the ifo.Reauthorist says its 192kps. But in the demux file name it says 448,power dvd and the cover on the case says its 5.1 sound at 448kps.
The only problem i have here, aint really the audio. Its more a case of whats the max bitrate i should use.Because if its 192kps 2ch then the max is about 96?? , but if it is 448kps 5.1 then the max is only about 93?? .Plus theres 5 or 6 sub tracks. So should i manually set the max to 9300 or under just incase its 448kps or do i risk it and set it to 96?? as if its 192kps

Oh, that's all you wanted to know? hehe
Most commercial DVDs don't have an Average Bitrate (ABR) of anything past 6000kb/s. That being said, you have occasional spikes up in the 9000s, but not as often as you'd think. You would be hard pressed to notice a difference when watching the movie even if you selected 9000 instead of 9300. So yeah, treat it as 5.1, what the heck.
