Hey I'm having a problem whenever I burn a data DVD with nero, it appears to work, it even says competed successfully. But I will go and put the disc back in the drive, if i right click the disc in my computer and hit properties it shows that the size is 4.3 gigs or however much is on there, but the dvd appears blank. The dvd is trash after that. :( This happened to me once before but then it started working again whenever i cleared out some space on my hard drive. Now I have even more free space than I did then and it's doing the same thing. Here's the specs....please advise.

Lite-On 4x DVD+RW drive
Nero 6.0.0.11
Windows XP with SP1 installed
Verbatim DataLifePlus DVD+R media

Not sure what could be the problem?

It could be lack of compability of your drive and media.

Have you tried different media?

If not, you could have a problem with the DVD Laser Power.

No not yet, I will try another brand, what would you reccommend for that drive? These discs aren't labeled anywhere maybe they are 2x and burning them at 4x yields iffy results? I'm not sure why some times I will have success in burning and some times not. I'll try it at 2x and see what happens as well. In the meantime anyone have any other suggestions or is that pretty much it?

I think its NERO, i have a similar problem, writing DVD's in Nero's DVD-Videoprofile and they play correct in homeplayer but arent recognized on PC. So the ISO side of the UDF/ISO bridge is not always correct written (sometimes it is, sometimes not)

i use Nero 6.00.19 now With 6.00.15 the DVD's wouldn't play on homeplayer.
