View Full Version : Managed first backup, minor problem

Have just managed to complete my first backup of a dvd using the big three and everything seems to have gone fine. The problem arrives when I try to burn to to disk using nero. Nero spits out an error message saying that VTS_01_6.VOB is missing. I know that before re-encoding that there were 6 vob files, but in the re-encoded version there are only 5. I have run ifoupdate on it but it makes no difference to the message. It did burn and seems to play fine, so I was just wondering if anyone knows why it is saying this?

Congrats! That error is a weird one. I have no idea how it's even figuring out that there should be a _6.vob file, but for the best compatibility with most standalones, I'd suggest getting rid of Nero entirely and using imgtool 0.90 and dvddecrypter.

Thanks for the response, have moved over to imgtool. If I start using these wonderful tools more often I will definately be contributing to their continued development.

you DID get sectors after your ifo update yes?
if you didn't that might be causing issues too...
