Canopus & CCE

Are there any advantages in using Canopus Pro Encoder over CCE for avi to dvd ? In terms of quality and speed.

Some say quality is overall better with Procoder, but as you may be aware, this is a very subjective matter.

In terms of speed, CCE is by far faster.

Yeah I've noticed that even in fast mode it takes at 4 times more tham CCE so I guess I will stick to CCE even toght some time it freezes my pc.

Hmm... That's not unusual, according to user reports, but it is fixable/workaroundable. Check the CCE forum and the CCE FAQ. I think you'll find what you need there for this.

I've personally never had a CCE freeze on the middle of an encode.
