I've finally gotten my new Plextor to replace the antique Pioneer A03...just to learn that the old Pioneer writes Mitsubishi 2x DVD-R disc at 1/5 - 1/10 of the error rate which the Plextor produces on them :angry:
The Pioneer written discs can be read back at 12x, while when recording them in the Plextor, only 8x reading is possible :(
Fortunately, I don't have more of them left. I still have some more Maxell 2x discs left, which seem to work well in the Plextor: They can be read back at full 16x in the Toshiba 1712 :D
4x + and -R discs are on the way...
