Just few words to says "what a good decision" to close thread about "invisible miracle tool".
I approve totaly this.
Let doom9 forum be the place of free discussion (not commercial) for newbies and non newbies.
Remember that "DOOM9" dont have expensive money to make this site up eternally (it does not have a chance with its material, its computer often breaks). So you can donate.
In my case i discover Doom9 forum last 3 years, when in france you can buy a non cheap dvd player (raite 715 clone). At this moment i search solution to put dvd and video on cd to play in this cheap player. After lots of search i discover this site. And now it's my reference site (with cdrhelp).
More and more i was surprised by the power of certain people particularly in "avisynth and cce forum".
Unfortunately, i was not a software programer so i cannot make my dream reality.
Doom9 forum was not a place to promote or test future commercial tools. Doom9 forum's members are not tester, but learner (sorry for my english).
So if you want to talk about idea/project you have, you can make it here freely. The best choice than would have to make this person, would have been to create a sourceforge project to share its knowledge like Avisynth,Virtualdub,VdubMod.
But more and more people want to get money, but i dont think that's the right way (yes if you dont have friends, money can help you).

Just to get the record straight:
It's not invisible anymore :) The other adjective is OK :)
And BTW, read the second sticky in this forum and click on the link, if you still doubt it's existence.
The middle part of your message, I aggree 100%. That's why we are here :)
As for the last sentences, I guess you are young so you don't know any other software, on this forum, that asks for money. Or you just plainly forgot that except for the GREAT exception of DVDShrink, most all of them ask for money, one way or another. Maybe it's the WAY they do it that bothers you... But that's a PR matter.
Regards.

Interesting points.
Yes it always bothers me that CCE costs $1950 (Yes there is "Basic" but that don't cut the mustard for proper use) and Sonic Scenarist aprox $30,000 - I know I can't afford crazy money like that. Yet so many people on forums seem to be owners of these fine tools, must be many rich people out there.
I'm going to have to change my job as there's paying and there's paying. :(

Yes, but CCE Basic is about $53 and performs almost as well - one of the truly great buys in the video software world. Remuxing can be done with IfoEdit (free tool) for PAL users and/or people who know what they are doing.

Off topic: Obvious that everybody is working hard to be respectful of each other, but just in case :) - Please be extra careful with your language and be extra respectful of each other as you comment on this topic so nothing will be taken wrong. None of us want another one of "those" situations.

I have to admit that free programs like ic8 dvdxcopy cce sonic scenarist are non commercial and they don't have dedicated forums to discuss about them, the only program to blame is a small program, made by a famous billioner.:D

"Yet so many people on forums seem to be owners of these fine tools, must be many rich people out there."
Lazza yes there are probably people who have not "bought" these programs but since people have asked about CCE basic and Tmpgenc works with programs like DVD2SVCD your broad generalisation is insulting to everyone.
infact what is the point of this post ? Doom9 has said he and the mods are looking at possible rule changes to control how things got out of hand before etc. until thats done there should be no need for this as its more likly to just start more name calling.

Only if members like you come looking to cause trouble, seems to be rather familiar - you following me around knocking almost every other post I make. Are you stalking me?
Nobody else seems to have been so thin skined as to take offence so why did you? Why would anyone in fact? If you cannot post anything other than personal attacks towards me continualy instead of engaging in posting of rational and interesting thoughts on a thread that is certainly not my problem. :(
So please do not talk about name calling on such threads, talk about all things DVD. :)

Don't start guys. Please consider this a *direct* instruction from a mod to avoid an argument. If you would like to beat up on each other, put on the gloves and hit the PM button. That would be none of my business. However, the public forum is my business. Please do as you are asked. I do so hope that is all it takes, but we can take it to the next level if either of you decide you would like to go there. /Add: Also, the whole discussion borders on rule violation. I think it would just be better if you dropped the subject and moved on to something more productive.
Best,
DD
