Hi i'm making a backup of a dvd i have and when i open the disc in DVD Shrink 3 beta it does it's quick analysis but then gives me a projected file size of 5142mb which makes it in the red.

I've tried to use custom compression but the slider only goes the one way which is making the file even larger so it will not let me select a greater compression % than the one it has prechosen just a lesser compression.

I hope somone can help me

There are some DVDs that DVDShrink simply can't compress small enough. Some people have reported you can put the DVD through the shrink process twice and reduce the size even more, but I haven't tried that. I would expect the quality would be atrocious.

Other than that, you have to do one of the following:
- find audio stream(s) to remove
- set some titles to compress to still frames

One of my favorite things to do in these situations is to do two disks. I do a movie only backup to one disk. Then for the second disk I set the movie to still frames, which usually allows me to set everything else to no compression.
