20th October 2003, 08:48
I have searched everywhere in the forum for a solution to this problem but cant find one. Have been using DVD2SVCD a long time with zero problems. I sure hope someone can help me.
I have tried this ver on 3 different computers with the same result.
I keep getting this: VCDXBuild failed to create a bin/cue file!
If i go back to ver 1.1.3 build 2 all is fine.

here is a copy of my log.

You know, i get teh exact same problem but with CD 2. I am going to try and isntall the new version and see if it works that way. If not i guess i gotta find a very old version to fix this.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

A well constructed first post like that makes me feel that you deserve a bit of help. But looking at your logfile I can't see a fault.

In addition to the the DVD2SVCD logfile which you have already pasted, VCDXbuild also creates its own log file. If you could cut and paste that in the same fashion it would be very useful.

Hi, @ret27m40, and welcome to the forum. You are using the default destination dir on drive C. This may sound obvious, but can you check you have enough space on that drive?

From the logfile. So he/she has 24GB free on drive C by that reckoning.

So obvious I did not see it myself. ;) Sorry about that.

"failed to create ..." In the last few days I have seen the same thing with build 3. I discussed it briefly with D2S but we thought it just an odd one off problem. Now I just had it happen again today so I am thinking there is a problem. I going to try to figure out what the heck is causing it although it may be difficult.

Just thought I'd chime in here too, I had the same problem today suddenly with vcdxbuilder. The day before yesterday I made a vcd and it was clean. Today I tried three times, and everytime vcdxbuilder failed to create the image. My log looks pretty much like ret27m40 for the most part.

hello. i also experienced a similar problem and yesterday i solved it , at least in my side. the thing i have done was simply to replace the files in the folder vcdimager with the ones found in doom9 web page.
