View Full Version : DVD2SVCD opens up off-screen

This is not really a critical issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning it here.

I have been using DVD2SVCD for some time on a dual-screen setup with the DVD2SVCD window on the second screen. Earlier today my second screen developed a fault, so I reverted to a single-screen setup, and resized my desktop to fit. However DVD2SVCD still tries to open up on the second (non-existent) screen so that I cannot access it. Most programs will have a right-click "Move" option on the task bar that allows one to get a window back into view using the arrow keys on the keyboard - however DVD2SVCD does not appear to.

I have worked around this by simply reverting temporarily to 2-screen mode, launching DVD2SVCD, and then moving the working screen temporarily to the second output so that I could get DVD2SVCD moved back onto the first screen. This was rather a convoluted process. I would have thought that DVD2SVCD should check on start-up that its window is in sight? Alternatively does anyone know where the position information is stored so that it can be edited?

I'm not sure if this will work, since I only have one 19-inch monitor ;), but coordinates seem to be on these variables on the INI file:

[Settings]
XPos=53
YPos=135

Choose the last modified INI file on DVD2SVCD's home dir.

Thanks - that worked fine.

I could have sworn I looked in the .INI file for an appropriate entry. I guess I scanned down too fast as they were the very first entries in the file :) :confused:
